Horizontal Trip to Bible Springs & Cedar Ridge Crystal Cave

For the May camp out meeting, DCG's very own Miki Manning is leading a trip to two caves, Bible Springs & Cedar Ridge Crystal Cave.
Both are horizontal caves.

The Plan:

• Meet & Leave from Caver's Paradise at 09:30 AM EST.
• Visit Cedar Ridge Crystal cave first, then go to Bible Springs.

What to expect:

• Cedar Ridge is a small, short cave, and unusually hot for TAG, 
• Bible Springs is a wet cave, dress appropriately!

What to wear and bring:

Choose a light top for Cedar Ridge, other wise you'll cook!

You need at least a neoprene wet suit top for Bible Springs!

• Try to wear fast drying clothes. Synthetic fibers like polyester and nylon work best.

• A helmet with mounted light and new/fresh batteries.
• • Helmets & lights are available for rent, contact Nancy Aulenbach or Jon Zetterberg ASAP.
• Bring 6 brand new AA batteries if you're using rental helmets & headlamp.

• Knee pads are a must and elbow pads are optional.
• Textured gloves gloves:  cotton or leather are bad ideas.
• Long pants and no shorts. 
• An optional light, long-sleeved shirt to protect your arms is recommended.
• A light day pack with:
• • Snacks: protein bars pack well. Put snacks in Ziploc bags to protect from getting wet.
  • Water (32oz) recommended.
  • Extra batteries for each light source protected by a water-resistant container
• Good sturdy boots.
• A large plastic bag to put your dirty wet clothes and boots in.
• Clean Clothes for the ride home
