The 2023 Annual Alabama Cave Survey Meeting is scheduled for April 1st at 9 am Central Time at the NSS Headquarters in Huntsville, Alabama. Here is the address:

It was great to see everyone last year at the NSS Headquarters. So far, 55 new caves, 13 new karst features, and 23 new cave maps have been added to the Survey this past year. Members have sent in numerous location updates as well. Thank you for all of your contributions! As always, the ACS is looking for Alabama cave information from anyone -- whether it's a new map, info about a new cave or pit, or updated locations of existing entrances.
The deadline for contributions to be included at the meeting and on the reports this year is March 18th. Contributions and updates should be sent to our Cave Files Director, Scott Shaw at:

Annual membership dues of $10 are due by April 30, and can be paid at the meeting, or at any time if you are not able to attend the meeting. Please note that the ACS now offers a lifetime membership, which is 20 times the annual rate (so currently $200).

The ACS Board of Directors has five members at any given time. Nominations and elections will take place at the meeting on April 1st.
We are still looking for a few good, short presentations on Alabama caves and caving at the meeting. If you are interested, please notify us of what you need ahead of time (projector, laptop, etc).
