R Cave Beginner Horizontal Cave Trip

Alex Lambie will be leading a beginner horizontal cave to R Cave on Saturday of the campout. We will be leaving the campout location at 10:30 am Eastern time to head to the cave. A crockford pigeon mountain fishing license or equivalent is required to be on the property of the cave. So be sure to buy one before the trip. The cave is mostly large breakdown passage to a waterfall. Please be sure to obtain your own personal horizontal aving gear.

Gear

Good sturdy boots or shoes.

A helmet with mounted light and new/fresh batteries.

if you need to rent for $5, contact Steve Davis or Nancy Aulenbuach. Also, you will need to bring 6 brand new AA batteries.

Extra batteries for each light source protected by a water-resistant container

Knee pads

Elbow pads are optional.

Gloves - they don't just protect you from the cave, they protect the cave from YOU.

Cave Pack

Snacks-- protein bars pack well. Put snacks in Ziploc bags to protect from getting wet.

Water (32oz) recommended.      

A large plastic bag to put your dirty wet clothes and boots in.

Clean Clothes for the ride home
