Capshaw Cave - Exploratory Beginner Horizontal

Alex Lambie will be leading a beginner horizontal cave trip to Capshaw Cave. This is a wet horizontal cave within the City limits of Cookeville. The entrance is a stoop crawlway for 15 feet to a 15 foot climbdown that we will rig a ladder with. After this, the cave becomes a large walking cave with knee to waist deep water with 4.5 miles of cave to potentially explore. I have not been here before, therefore this is an exploratory trip. Please bring or wear extra (not cotton) layers especially if you get cold easily as we will be getting wet.

We will meet at Miki and Andy's house at 10 am EASTERN time. Register for the address. If rain is too bad, we will be going to a different cave.
