Lost Creek Cave Intermediate Horizontal Trip

ATTENTION! Due to high water levels the Rocky River trip has been changed to Lost Creek Cave.  This is a massive 21,000+ foot horizontal cave.  The meeting time remains 10 am CENTRAL, but we will meet at a new location, the trailhead for Lost Creek Falls. You must sign a WAIVER  to go on this trip. This is how the cave is described: "The main entrance (E1) is located at the bottom of a large 150-foot deep sinkhole opposite from the waterfall. The 100-foot wide entrance leads to 0.75 miles of wet-weather stream passage, averaging 60 feet wide and 40 to 90 feet high. Several side passages lead to upper-level dry canyons. About 3,000 feet back into the cave, a 40-foot waterfall is encountered. Several hundred feet of passage exists above it. Downstream the water disappears in a sump, not far from the waterfall. A major side loop leads to the Neon Sign Extension, a long canyon passage that almost connects to Your Cave" (WH70) through a dome drain. Stygobitic blind southern cave crayfish (''Orconectes australis'') were noted in the cave." Expect at least your feet to get wet.  For any questions contact Miki @ 863-602-0869
